Guster - Ganging up on the Sun	There is a trend these days, it consits of bands that've been around for a while (10 years for Guster) who are turning out amazingly tight, melodic pop records. This is no different. The song "The Captain" is worth the price of admission. 4/5

Muse - Black Holes and Revelations	A much more united effort then thir last. Muse have finally grown into a sound they can call their own. Sounding alot like a soundtrack to the old Bravestar cartoon these guys churn out grade A rockers, packed with Synth and personality. One of 2006 best.

Cave In - Perfect Pitch Black	Wow! Unexpectedly spaced album that seems to be the soundtrack to an unproduced sci-fi movie. 70's inspired droning rifffs and the return of hardcore vocals. 4/5

Spoon - Gimme Fiction	A far cry better than thier last effort. Darker, moodier with the same Beatles/Stones/Hall and Oates (?) inspired indie rock they're known for. Wonderful compositions. The first three songs alone are worth the purchase. 4/5
